Emmanuel & Jamie (Special Coverage)

01.01.10 –  I was back to Kuching, my beloved hometown to attend this freaking fun & loving wedding of our secondary school mate. Finally, EJ is tying his knot with Jamie Lo after 5 years of being together. Oh, that's what his proposal video said. It's loud and clear. The SFW – it all started from Form 5 I recalled, bunch of adolescences dunno where to wander and tarry around town, being sluggish. Oh yesh, we're young and energetic and game frags were part of our topics. We gathered around kopitiams and discuss about tactics and strategies. The boys are real pro in this.

"We'll name this group THE SFW, how's that?" EJ asked feveredly some 10 years ago.

Everyone agrees and that's where the name came by. There were 8 members initially,  and everyone was crazy minded. Other than frags, there's no other thing we could do. But of course, we have our tertiary studies later on. Time passe! We're now at our 27/28 and do you see how time flies? Which reminded us what we've achieved in this 10 golden years. Mid-life crisis in mind, yeah… apart of that we're still looking for options to live with, for better lifestyles, compassionate love we sought and enigmas that'll surface sooner or later.

Well, back on the track. After I touched down, the boys gathered @ my house for some preps & formation discussions for tomorrow but of course, it's our EJ's BACHELOR'S NIGHT! So, we've prepared something unusual & memorable for him – and it's gonna go WOW factor for the general audience. It was Mike's idea after analyzing a few youtube clips from KL-gites and since nobody's doing so in Kuching, we'll have to be the first batch to start with.

THIS IS SCOOBY DOO EPIC @ THE SPRING.

EJ had no idea what we're up to. We blindfolded him and he was thrilled with amusement when we groom him up. He thought it was some sorta pig costume or stuff like that. LOL!! We're all burst with laughters. We roamed around The Spring Shopping Mall (Kuching) and pedestrians at the concourse was elated with The Costume in which they thought it was The Spring Management's idea. Well, we've again surprised the crowd.  We unfold EJ @ Silhouette (restaurant) and thank god he was sporty – He as well was burst into laughters.

We had some plans for him after the dinner. Task 1, to buy strangers ice-creams but it must be a lady / girl. Fair enough, the only place to buy ice-cream is sugar bun and look what we have there, superb scooby with tons n tons of admires. WOhooO! Task 2, roam around the mall and say 'HI' to everyone whilst me & Bernard went to Parkson to buy white sleeves. I bet that scob was enjoying shaking hands around. Do enjoy the photos & descriptions below!

The day after we set forth to Hilton early in the morning and the heng tai (bridegroom-men) was being mock by the sisters' (bridesmaids). Well, not to say mock, we need clearance to enter the bride's chamber. That's why the games seemed to be intense. Luckily we had our fun-filled bachelor's night (which was a good training ground before this very day) and passed all sectors prepared by the jee mui's (bridesmaids). The bitter gourd doesn't taste bitter to me at all. I had a few bites.. It goes YUMMY & 'sweet' – same goes to the plum… Ice-cream is easy case for BLCC & Robin. The chung brother's had those WASABI Biscuit. Gab did hint Adrian about the wasabi but he ain't listening… so he got a throb on later afternoon after consuming the wasabi… LOL! As for Mike, I can't recall what he had.. LOL!! EJ is so darn lucky to have the heng tai's around! We covered him!!!!!

Later on… we attended mass & nuptial ceremonial at St. Joseph cathedral – the mass ended at noon. We had a pleasant lunch at 3rd mile's Dong Guan Restaurant. EJ was not present… he had fine dining with Jamie @ Hilton. How sweet! Afternoon was chaos… I compiled the video with limited resources and dang I hate that last minute job to be frank! Luckily I managed to finish it off by 6PM again…. last minute job sux to the fullest! The dinner was held @ Hilton as well and I had my little surprise for the couple which was the music video that I did with together with Adrian, Mike & Gab @ Penang back in November 2009. I palpitate the moment the clip was being broadcast, oh dear. I have no idea what I've came through but that feeling was scary; fear of chastise. Don't ask me why… I dunno where that came from. Adrian saw my expression and he stared at me like he'd seen a ghost! :D So I just ate my duckling while the rest of the clip were being broadcast to the curious audience. Glad there were applaud heard and laughters too. LOL! Why worry? .____.|| Enough rants.

Alright enjoy the pictures & videos prepared for this special coverage of THE SFW Memorable Wedding!!

Note : SFW (Sick Freaking Weirdo) , Halycube (Halycube is trademark of Halyconstudio & Cube Photography)

I see Adrian is more embarrassed than EJ (blindfolded) here. Cuz' EJ's blindfolded and nobody knew who he was.

Unfold!! Finally! Welcome to the party!

That spec was from AVATAR screening in Brisbane LOL! I wonder if he sees twinkle twinklehere

And Scob did some promo for this restaurant! LOL! That display board is a bit misleading though :P

Taste a bit sweet and not so dry. :D

Mike & Ceileen

A week ago, I was back in Kuching for my buddy’s wedding…

03.10.2009 – Never knew time passed in a flick that we’re already grown adults; but glad that he made it to the second half of his journey, thy after marriage life. HAHAHA! What’s it like to be a father? LOL! Well, Mike and I knew one another since the sec. and we sat next to each other in year 3 (or form 3). Back then, I was a mock to some cause I was never being serious, you know.. people make fun of you due to timidity but I never cared. So this friend of mine always support me from behind with courage words or so and I treated him like a brother. :D

We laughed, we jeer, we sang, we copied home works and we flirt some girls around (but not very often). Hmm.. speak of that, there were coalitions usually, in a gang as what they referred as ‘Heng Tai Clan’ or ๅ…„ๅผŸๅธฎ. Well, it’s a form of unison in brotherhood given security to each and every members if you didn’t know. :D You cover my back and I covered yours. Racism was the cause of violence or somewhat, partially related to individual relationships. I was never involved in any of these silly acts but observed the outcome from time to time. Violence was never my thing but instead, I would emotionally support the gang on whatsoever (since am part of the so called Heng Tai Clan). Gangsterism was quite popular in my school days and that’s why I was being cautious whom should I befriended with.

After we graduated, we still keep in touch but loosely and occasionally on gaming activities until recent years, that I had moved to Singapore for work. To date, we moved on with new journeys and adventures set but enduring friendship remains. :D

Ah, the wedding was held @ 10th mile, Methodist church Kuching at 9AM sharp while lunch reception @ Lok Thian Kuching at 12PM. That was my second time on an early wedding meal. After that, the gang went T1 for some afternoon binge. I thought that was crazy! Afternoon binge~~ hahhaa! Nope never join but I had some important things to do. Too rush for a short holiday I’d say. :)

Enjoy the following 23 photos :)

Jiffer & Eileen (Pre-Wedding)

July 15, 2009 - 4:15 pm  Print This 2 Comments

28.06.2009 – Touched down Singapore from Langkawi and headed home for some rest before meeting Jiff & Eileen at marina late evening. I was a bit worried back then as ominous clouds formed but praised to lord, the afternoon drizzle lasted for half an hour.

It’s a pleasure to have Jiff & Eileen assigning me as their photographer for their pre-wedding in Singapore and both are from the Philippines, Manila. Well, Jiff was the one who came up with the idea and initially we had a few shooting locations in mind which came to a conclusion – Marina Barrage. We were dumbfounded after we reached as there was a local event going on there (rowing competition or the sort) as crowds flooded the area, our mind’s totally empty, no directions but still have to look for alternatives. I scoured for proximity and surprised to have found one distinct spot for this pre-wedding shoot. Anyway, congratulations to the couple of their conjugal vows this coming September in the Philippines. Blessed them with love throughout eternity. Also, have to thank their friends whom they brought along, some helped me with the strobist and some had photography session and chit-chatted along. It was fun alright ^_^;

19 images on the load. Enjoy!

Wedding Photojournalism @ Ipoh (March 2009)

March 15, 2009 - 7:53 pm  Print This 2 Comments

It’s a pleasure of Halycube to be in Ipoh last week with a million thanks to the bride & groom (Poh Yuen & Yuet Lean) of giving us this opportunity to shoot their wedding moments. Congratulations on their wedding vows and hope the newlyweds can live happily ever after. Also, we must thank Kenny for the accommodation & transportation. Without his help, we could have been stuck in Ipoh with no directions. haha!

Schedule was tight but both me & Mike enjoyed shooting albeit we hardly consumed anything for morning & afternoon session but with a sip of milk tea thats all. Maggie mee was our saviour at 5pm. Being a wedding photographer is not easy job as you spend most of the time with the shutter clicks but satisfaction in mind This trip I was assigned for the groom’s photos (morning session) and Mike’s the one handling the bride’s. :)

One more thing… people asked if am a professional and my answer was.. no I’m not. I’m just an amateur who enjoyed snapping moments. :)

I have some thought for this…
This is Ben – the groomsman and some of his mate said we look alike, claiming if I’m long lost brother of his. haha! Doppelganger perhaps?

Well, I use to met 1 that looks 80% similar like me 10 years back in Kuching but never say ‘hi’ as I was totally stunned with the appearance, that facial look of mine standing behind me while I was gaming in cyber…

This one… make it a 60% look alike. :P
