Good Day, am glad to announce a new image for Halyconstudio Blog. As Chinese New Year is round the corner, I designed this CNY Theme to fit the atmosphere. Hope you like it. Wishing you a prosperous new year and Gong Xi Gong Xi (oh, isn’t that too early?) Oh, no… 2 more weeks to go. Everyone’s busy preparing for New Year I bet; shopping for cloth, bak kua, kuih lapis, soft drinks, fireworks etc. Till then.

Concepts

During Christmas, I had a wonderful day in Sentosa (post coming soon) and hanged out in Vivo during the evening time. I was shooting around while this idea came to me, how structures design & lighting work together? Vivo city is a semi free form concept, also known as "Surfing" themes and wavy surface by Mr Toyo Ito. Spacious concourse and sky roof gave us unboundable enjoyment & relaxation. Well, I just wan to know how this huge structure attached it’s "cement finished" with proper ligthing. That’s all. Hehe…

How these sign-board work in the background?

This is how it works, Solid steel bars attached to the free form cement and lights projected in zig-zag directions to produce blurred lighting effects on the wall. When it comes to signboard itself, neon lights are used (attached at the rear of the signage) for the change of color. Quite a cool approach.

Advancing Halyconstudio

Dear readers,

After the pre-launch of halyconstudio blog about a year ago and the official launch on february this year, it’s time to change the look, feel and writings. I appreciate reader’s decision and votes. By the way, votes are still on the right bar, so don’t forget to interact with it.

A lot of people were asking what is this blog for? Of course, I’d say this blog is everything to me. Mostly not 100% about my life, but a perceptional look throughout the entire community, connections, opinions, friendships, shares, personal research and interaction. For me, private life are yet to expose to the public but when you need someone to know more about yourself or in the other way round, understanding the world better; you simply have to come up with something without any harsh.

History

Halyconstudio was born in 2006 with emo-futuristic design published on web never seen (or perhaps seen). Click here to read about the history.

The Objectives

To accumulate relevant structures or design and apply absolute creativity on it without having the same concept, same colour, or same feel, instead of having it as an enigma.

Adoxography has always been a mindful endeavours for me in the blogging community, while designing is another side dish for attractions. I don’t usually drop-by blogs instead, I only hang around with those blogs (or website) with special designed interfaces and unique interactions.

However, duplicates of artwork may sound a bit awkward but with the accurate editing skills and creativity on the fill is priceless. I’ve always done my homework and try not to depict so much copyright materials (although they look delicious). You may find similarities of design around but throughout the whole process, you’ll enhance it, stretch it and mild it until it is not so equivalent to what it seemed to be.

Copyright Materials

Rights of materials are always managed in proper manner. Creative commons has drop by the spot to help. – Share, re-use & re-mix.

On-Coming

Of course, there will be tons of goodies on this site in the future (and the main site @ halyconstudio.net) and you even got the chance to win something here. Well, that’s not something new in the blogosphere! It’s common around blogger’s site.
