Macau – P2 – My Rendezvous

August 30, 2009 - 3:10 pm  Print This 3 Comments

Well, our dinner and dance held successfully from Macau Tower 360° dine-in to some local pubs shootout & booze and later, Tune Karaoke & Bar for our lucky draws. Not too bad for the night. Two 42" LCD Plasma TV were won by Sarach & Noemi with HKD$5k each. Not much luck this year :) oh well… The event ended @ 1AM and time for some luck on the wheels in the casino.

Here’s my gambling history for this trip. First night I loss HKD$450+ @ Wynn but on the second night, I won a jackpot (on the slot machine) that’s x500 of my total credit which was HKD$500. I was greedy and thought sheer luck was at my side and played along baccarat with the bosses (minimum bet placed was HKD$300), but…. luck’s not on my side, eventually loss $700 :) No worries it’s just a game. And my boss won a staggering HKD$70,000 or more on the baccarat game alone. Greed is good but I reminded myself, that self-control matters :)

Macau – P1

August 26, 2009 - 1:43 pm  Print This No Comments

Macau, a country that had been under the Portuguese colonial for hundreds of years, now part of China – it is one of the country in Asia with the most casinos or what we called – The Oriental Las Vegas. The weather, hotter than our region that it is a challenge to walk under tedious striking sun which drenched your back easily. We were then escorted by Daniel, our tour guide to President Hotel which is located at the heart of the city, where all the casinos gathered.

We checked-in and had some short nap after that 4 hours flight. My room mate, a chinese national were pretty delighted that it was his first time in Macau. He claimed that chinese from the mainland had a hard time going overseas and most of the time, visas are required with  supporting documents for authority’s reassurance. An hour later, we jaunt around the area for something pleasant, at least let me try out that famous Portuguese egg tart that I’ve been long craved for.

Along, my room mate complained bout’ that ultra expensive calls back to China, that it ripped off his MOP$20 within minutes on the public phone. At least, he got to listen to his wife’s voice. Frustrated no more, he opt for looking into a one night stand package. I was retard for his studing intentions. Naughty I thought! From Russians to local taste, it’s not cheap after he peeped on the price so he called off the plan. LoL. Not only that, those prostitution went on the street boldly with illustrations / photos with contacts. O_O;; Well, definitely not for me :P Those lust are for pleasure seekers.

So, we came by 7-eleven mart and tried on the local ’satay’ and fish ball. It’s as good as the Hong Kong’s.

6.30pm sharp, we were then escorted to Macau Tower for the 360° (Café) dining experience, haute extend that’s 1000 feet above ground with stunning & breathtaking view atop, spinning gradually, that it was a night to remember. What’s more to say on those medley unlimited international cuisines range from The Mediterranean, Italian, oriental, Japanese and The Portugese. The define was right – exquisite. Price from S$60+ (MOP$288+) per pax, expensive but worthwhile.

While I was in the plane. Cough Cough~ Hey did I work for Jetstar? LOL!

Our tour guide, Daniel. His english is good :D

That’s Macau Tower with Ponte de Amizade (bridge)

That’s Macau’s Science Center which is still under construction

Macau Tower @ Wynn. Wynn is a high end hotel & boutiques just opposite our President Hotel. There’s a total computerize performance in the lobby hall with the tree of prosperity rising from the bottom and that huge lamp from the top. Also, the fountain performance outside. For once, I thought I was in Disneyland. HAHAHA! Stunning I’d say. Check it out here (somebody took that).

On the way to Macau Tower. That lotus-like building is The Grand Lisboa Hotel

Now we reached, let’s go up that tower. Reached within a minute.

In the tower, I was lucky to witness the sunset. :)

The Yolk!

All colleagues enjoying themselves while I was shooting behind. :P Yeah, I was hungry that time.

Over the weeks, my CEO urge me to finish up / come up with some ideas of posting the Anual D&D on the wall. Well, you know it’s kinda fustrated that you’re doing something thats out of your work, a Graphic Designer’s work! Yeah I was one heck of an Advertising GD and now an IT Analyst. But that was a long story for the Advertising GD post. I cannot take it when he pushed me so hard until the edge and winded. So I did came up with something that’s really impressive and he praised me. I’ll post it up next. See what’s so interesting about that.

Back to the post. After the potrait shot, let’s focus on the food. Yum Yum. See what I had on that night. Again droll all the way down the page. haaha! Enjoy~

Yu Sang (ไฝ™็”Ÿ) for the first dish which means prosperous and wealth in chinese. This dish is compulsory on every Chinese New Year. By the way, the dinner was held after Chap Goh Mei. Hmm.. Pretty weird.

Look what they did to the Yu Sang! Lao ar! Lao ar! ๆžๅ•Š! ๆžๅ•Š!

2nd dish of the night, fried mushroom and potatos with dried leaves.

Crab meat mix with egg white + a yolk.

This is fried dough.

And fried dough mix with Shark’s Fin Soup.

Of course, not forgetting Roasted Peking Duck. Look at the shine of the skin. Oh how crispy it was.

And Peking Duck was wrapped with thin prata with shallot. Oh My God! Unimaginable.

Fried Meat with Scallop.

Tomato Fish

Brewed prawn with Baby Kai Lan

Fried Chinese Noodle.

After that, we went to Party World KTV for karaoke, prize ceremony (Wishlist) and Grand / 2nd Prize Draw. And as a  hardworking photographer for the night, I won an Itouch and PS3. HAHA! How lucky I am. Wohoo! YATTA! Refer to the post here.

Company D&D 2007 – P1

March 16, 2008 - 1:56 am  Print This No Comments

Another year set of for our Company D&D (Dinner & Dance / Annual Dinner) for the year 2007. I enjoyed some fine dish and of course, shooting around. I was assigned to be an official photographer for that night. Just a bit knackered for the 1kg camera held for the entire night.

Our venue was Revolving Restaurant, nearby Vivo City and next to St. James Powerstation. You need to take a lift to the top of the tower. This tower is special, you may experience ultra slow spin on the tower and enjoy the splendid view around Marina Bay & Sentosa. It was evening and I had tried my best for the interior shootout. Hope it won’t ruin your viewing pleasure.

This was taken at ground level before taking a lift to the tower. Very grand!

Ok, am in the tower now. It’ll spin me around and I don’t have to walk far for the washroom though. The turn will come haha! Oh what the… See? The lantern! It’s blurred because it’s spinning. Oh, how can I elaborate this building at such situation? lolx.

This is Telok Blangah flyover and PSA on the right.

There you go, thats St. James Powerstation down there and behind is Vivo City. Splendid isn’t it?

And here’s some incomplete company group photo. :)

Ok, up next, I’m going to show  you some personal potrait or couple photos. Some of them are young and photogenic I admit but you gotta stay put with the temptation ok? lolx <- Temptation refers to mike. hahhaha!

Potrait Shots

Yen from Malaysia.

Pries from Indo

Kate from Philippines and Leng from Malaysia

Suzanne and Serena. Both from Malaysia.

Shawn (China) and his girlfriend (SG).

Joe and his wife. Both from Malaysia.

My boss and her wife. Both are my bosses. lolx. Cheers!~ Thanks to Jiwei for shooting this.

And lastly Kate and her Boyfriend. Both from Philippines.

Well up next I’m gonna bring you the food that I ate here. Check out whether it’s nice or not so one day you’ll drop by and enjoy the food. Stay tune…
